Lou has been a professional actress for the past ten years. Having focused mainly on classical theatre for the past few years she has multiple Shakespeare credits including Beatrice, Lady Macbeth, Katherine, Emilia, Mistress Ford, Titania and Lady Macduff. Her versatility is shown through her ability to adapt to modern parts as well; having played the Californian academic in Navy Pier and the drug taking, hypochondriac, Catherine in Memory of Water, also in her ability to cross-cast, in the male part of Aimwell in The Beaux Stratagem and in her ageing up when playing the old lady, Madame Purnelle in Tartuffe.
She has presented on a live SKY shopping channel and also fronted numerous corporate videos as well as appearing in a BBC TV drama as an investigative policewoman in William Ivory's A Thing Called Love. She has starred in numerous films for Caught on Film productions and Immedia Productions.
Running training courses using forum theatre and role-play is something Lou has become experienced in and she now has her own company – Transforum which specialises in this area. www.transforum.co.uk
She now facilitates a vast range of courses ranging from health and safety on the oil rigs in the North Sea to equality and diversity in the construction industry and customer care in the hospitality sector.
Lou also produces theatre for two companies: Tangled Web which focuses on new writing – currently producing No View From the Window and Web of Dreams which is a children’s theatre company – currently producing Hansel and Gretel. |
